When Covid restrictions finally lifted back in April I was able to open the doors to my beautiful private training studio in Hove! Suddenly it's 6 months later with a full training schedule of ace clients who I LOVE working with and I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone!
Our first 6 months...
The studio and garden is totally fab but we will never stop working to improve the experience...
I had so much time in lockdown to make plans for how the Pink Trainers studio would work. Thinking through how I would master the art of being a personal trainer, mum, wife, weightlifter and cycling addict all without going near the burn out I reached owning my last business. When I was finally able to transition my clients from working on Zoom or in local parks to working in the studio for real it went so smoothly. I should think so too after all the time I had to overthink everything through eleventy billion times.
The combination of the fun studio space and big garden has worked really well. I started to feel like I needed to add more bars for resistance work so down came my daughters swing and up went a proper outdoor gym. Fear not, daughter did not lose out at all because it has a detachable swing and rings so she actually got an upgrade. Plus she loves callisthenics and hasn't been able to do it after her club closed down. Now she can get out in the garden and practise when she likes. Anyway, I digress.
It would be super easy to take my foot off the pedal now and coast along nicely. However, my brain does not work like that. This week I've been working closely with my clients to review every aspect of my business and make plans for improvement. Some of the ideas we've had are really very exciting! Watch this space...
To summarise...6 months in...loving life...working hard...spreading joy through exercise...encouraging women to start strength training...helping beginner runners...creating a community...balancing mum life...finding time for myself to get some cycling wahoos...taking care of my clients...making plans for the future.
